Guests frequently highlight the hotel's excellent location, a short walk from both the town center and Derwent Water, with the added convenience of on-site parking. The Woodford Suite, in particular, often receives praise for its spaciousness and beautiful furnishings, including a bath and separate shower; however, some guests have noted that only one complimentary bottle of water was provided . many appreciate the complimentary afternoon tea and cake, along with a varied and freshly cooked breakfast. Hope Park and nearby fells are also conveniently within view.

I was charmed by my stay. the location is ideal. It's just a short walk into the town centre and a quick hop down to the lake. safe parking at the back of the hotel was a great convenience for me. the team, including elouise, tina, laura, and sarah, were friendly. breakfast was delicious and gave me the perfect start to my days exploring.
I did notice the tv in the room wasn't quite visible from the bed. I had to watch it through the banisters.

The Woodford room was such a dream. It had a large seating area. Beautiful furniture were all around it. The location is ideal, because it is a short walk to the main streets.
The cake was a sticky and wet flapjack. It was nothing like the standard from previous years. The bed was a rock hard and so very uncomfortable. The hot breakfast was below standard.
